Add the sliced onions and cook slowly for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become soft, sweet, and golden brown.
Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Beef
In the same skillet, add the ground beef.
Cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles.
Drain excess fat if needed.
Step 3: Season the Beef
Add:
Garlic
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Smoked paprika
Oregano
Chili flakes
Worcestershire sauce
Ketchup (optional)
Cook for another 3–5 minutes until the flavors are well combined.
Step 4: Prepare the Bread
Spread softened butter evenly on one side of every bread slice.
The butter helps create a crisp, golden crust.
Assembly Method
Place one slice of bread butter-side down.
Add one slice of cheddar cheese.
Spoon a generous layer of seasoned beef over the cheese.
Top with caramelized onions.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar.
Add a slice of mozzarella.
Cover with another slice of bread, butter-side facing outward.
Repeat for the remaining sandwiches.
